Hand-thrown lunar jar fired using barrel firing techniques. Smoke and carbon from the firing created soft tonal variations across the burnished surface, emphasizing the quiet simplicity of the rounded form.

Each firing produces unique variations in color and surface, making every piece one of a kind. Firing in this way does not bring the clay to a high enough temperature to vitrify, therefore, these smoke fired items are not food safe or water tight and should be used for decorative purposes only.
