Hand-thrown vase, finished with graphite and fired using barrel firing techniques. During firing, smoke and carbon interact naturally with the clay surface, creating soft transitions of gray and black that highlight the form's gentle curves.

Each firing produces unique variations in color and surface, making every piece one of a kind. Firing in this way does not bring the clay to a high enough temperature to vitrify, therefore, these smoke fired items are not food safe or water tight and should be used for decorative purposes only.
